Cookie and Tracking Notice
Effective 2026-07-03
This notice explains the cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as local storage) used across Cnykra Technologies’ (“Cnykra”, “we”, “us”) web properties, including:
- our marketing site (
cnykra.com), - the operator dashboard (
dash.cnykra.com), - per-hotel direct-booking and landing websites (
<hotel>.cnykra.comand connected hotel domains).
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
We keep this notice honest and minimal — it lists only what is actually deployed today, plus explicit placeholders wherever a decision hasn’t yet been made. It will be revised as tooling changes.
1. What is a cookie (and similar technology)?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. “Similar technologies” include browser local storage, session storage, and comparable mechanisms used to remember information between page loads or requests. This notice covers all of these together as “cookies” for simplicity.
2. Categories of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Example(s) on Cnykra properties | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for the site/app to function — you cannot opt out of these without breaking core functionality (e.g., logging in, staying logged in, completing a booking) | Authentication/session cookies on dash.cnykra.com; JWT access-token handling used to keep you signed in; anti-fraud/session-integrity tokens during checkout on booking sites | Necessary for performance of contract / legitimate use — no separate consent banner is required for strictly-necessary cookies, but we disclose them here |
| Preferences | Remember choices you’ve made so you don’t have to re-select them each visit | [CONFIRM: any preference cookies actually set — e.g. selected language, theme] | Consent (where not strictly necessary) |
| Analytics | Understand how our sites are used, in aggregate, to improve them | [CONFIRM: which analytics/tag tool(s) are actually deployed — e.g. Cloudflare Web Analytics on the marketing site, or "none" if not yet deployed] | Consent |
We do not currently use third-party advertising or cross-site behavioural-tracking cookies. [CONFIRM: confirm this remains accurate before publishing, and update this notice immediately if that changes.]
3. Detail: strictly-necessary cookies
These are used across the dashboard, booking sites, and marketing site as applicable, and cannot be disabled through a preference toggle because doing so would break the site:
- Session / authentication cookies or tokens — keep you logged in to
dash.cnykra.comas a hotel staff member, or maintain a guest’s booking session on a hotel’s direct-booking site. - JWT access tokens — used by the API (
api.cnykra.com) to authenticate requests during a session. - CSRF / security tokens — protect forms (e.g., booking, login) from cross-site request forgery.
Because these are necessary for the Services to work, they are set regardless of cookie-consent preferences, consistent with standard practice for strictly-necessary technologies.
4. Detail: preference cookies
[CONFIRM: list any actual preference-storage mechanisms in use today — e.g. selected currency/language on a booking site, dashboard UI layout state — or state "none currently in use" if that's accurate.]
5. Detail: analytics
[CONFIRM: which analytics or tag-management tool(s), if any, are actually deployed on which properties — e.g. "Cloudflare Web Analytics on cnykra.com (marketing site only); no analytics tooling on dash.cnykra.com or hotel booking sites" — or "none deployed yet."]
Any analytics tool we do use is chosen to be privacy-friendly where possible (e.g., avoiding cross-site tracking identifiers). This section will be updated with the specific tool name(s), what data they collect, and links to the vendor’s own privacy documentation once confirmed.
6. WhatsApp and messaging — not cookies, but related
Our WhatsApp inbox, automation, and AI chatbot features (used by hotels to message their guests) do not use browser cookies — they operate over the WhatsApp platform (Meta’s Cloud API, or a WhatsApp-Web bridge) and our own backend. Personal data handled through these features is covered by the Privacy Policy, not this cookie notice.
7. How you can control cookies
- Strictly-necessary cookies: cannot be turned off without breaking login, checkout, or similar core functionality. If you don’t want them set, don’t use the affected feature (e.g., don’t log in, don’t complete a booking).
- Preference and analytics cookies:
[CONFIRM: consent/control mechanism — e.g. a cookie-consent banner with accept/reject, or browser-level controls only, depending on what's actually implemented]. - Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may prevent some parts of our Services (particularly the dashboard and booking checkout) from working correctly.
- Do Not Track:
[CONFIRM: whether Do Not Track signals are honored — state accurately once decided].
8. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as our tooling changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do. Material changes (e.g., adding a new analytics or advertising tool) will be reflected here before or at the time the change takes effect.
